Corporate Controller

A growing, private equity-backed industrial distribution organization is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead day-to-day accounting and finance operations while helping build a scalable finance function to support continued growth and acquisitions. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership and play a key role in financial reporting, FP&A, cash management, operational reporting, process improvement, and M&A integration support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity
• Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital visibility, and lender reporting
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and variance analysis
• Build reporting and dashboards that support operational and branch-level decision making
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sourcing, and leadership teams
• Identify opportunities for automation, reporting efficiency, and process improvement using BI tools, AI, and modern finance technology
• Support acquisition integrations, reporting standardization, and finance transformation initiatives
• Develop and mentor accounting and finance staff within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Ideal Background:

• 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Experience within a PE-backed, multi-site, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial services environment preferred
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, month-end close, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Experience with ERP systems, Power BI, automation tools, and reporting platforms
• Exposure to M&A integration, lender reporting, and operational finance strongly preferred
• Hands-on, process-oriented leader who can operate strategically while remaining detail-oriented
