Administers anesthesia or sedation to patients undergoing a variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Develops and conducts pre-anesthetic plan for the patient as well as write orders before, after, and during procedures appropriately. Works with and collaborates with providers caring for the patient. Communicates with patients, family members and others on the health care team. Evaluates and orders diagnostic tests as needed. Monitors patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, using current techniques to adjust appropriately with the anesthesia plan. Ability to work with growth and development needs of all client populations. **Qualifications** Bachelor of Science degree required from an approved and accredited educational program in specific area of advanced practice. Masters degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) preferred. *** · Department practice is an Anesthesia Care Team Model which practice independently. · Managing anesthesia care to multiple advanced specialties (Ortho, General Surgery, ENT, Podiatry, OBGYN, Pain Medicine, and Eye) · Department provides anesthesia services for over 2,900 cases per year · Four well-equipped operating rooms with endoscopy suite. · Highly-skilled CRNA department of 3 that rotate call responsbilities · Level IV trauma center at a critical access hospital servicing Northwest Minnesota. · Terrific environment for new or experienced hires. *** Requires current unencumbered licensure to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the State Board of Nursing in the state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. CRNA certification required and maintained through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
