Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Assistant Controller / Administrative Generalist to support our day-to-day financial operations while also assisting with accounts payable, recruitment coordination, and basic HR administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, collaborates well across departments, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing organization. SANDY'S operates a chain of convenience retail stores across Pennsylvania. We are your everyday shop for fresh grab-and-go selections, snacks, beverages, coffee, PA lottery, Skills games, and fuel services.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain AP records and ensure proper documentation and approvals
- Support payment runs (checks, ACH, wires)
- Communicate with vendors regarding billing questions
- Accounts Receivable processing
- Auditing
- Banking Reconciliations
- Month-End Closings
Human Resources & Recruitment Support
- Assist with recruiting coordination, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes (paperwork, system access, documentation)
- Maintain employee records and HR files in compliance with policies and confidentiality standards
- Help administer payroll inputs, benefits enrollment support, and time-off tracking
- Serve as a point of contact for basic employee HR-related questions
Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with leadership, finance, and HR teams on special projects
- Assist with process improvements and documentation
- Provide general administrative support as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance (AP experience a plus)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive financial and employee information with discretion
- Experience supporting HR or recruitment processes
- Experience in a small to mid-sized business or multi-role environment
- Familiarity with payroll, benefits administration, or HRIS systems
- Experience working with database software (Point of Sale within a Convenience Store Environment)

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
