Development and Production Manager Temp (Parental Leave Cover – 4 Month Contract)

This role is ideal for an experienced fashion professional who is confident managing the full product lifecycle, working closely with design, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within cost.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end product development and production process, from initial concept through bulk delivery
• Own and maintain development and production calendars, ensuring all milestones are met
• Act as the main point of contact with factories and suppliers, both domestic and offshore
• Oversee sampling, fittings, comments, and approvals, ensuring design intent and quality standards are met
• Negotiate and manage costings, minimums, and lead times
• Track and troubleshoot production risks, proactively resolving issues related to quality, timing, or capacity
• Partner closely with Design, Technical, and Merchandising teams to ensure smooth execution
• Ensure all products meet brand, quality, and compliance standards
• Manage and support the Product Development Associate, Production Associate, and Technical team

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Development & Production role within fashion
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously
• Confident communicator with experience working directly with global suppliers
• Detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to step in quickly and operate with a high level of ownership and accountability
• 6–10 years total experience in fashion product development and/or production with 3–5 years in a Manager or Senior-level role

This is a temporary position covering a parental leave, expected to start as early as end of January/early February and run from end of February through June 2026.
