What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Interventionist (x2) position at Sandwich Public Schools?
The Forestdale School in Sandwich, a PreK-2 school, is searching for two (2) Part-Time Interventionists beginning on August 31, 2026, and each shall perform the following essential duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Support Tier II and Tier III Reading or Math Instruction
- Provide direct instruction in one to one or small group settings to students identified as eligible for reading or math intervention services
- Use formal and informal assessment data to guide student achievement of the MA Frameworks
- Use a variety of programs or materials to support the needs of individual students to achieve the content standards
- Assist in data collection, management and analysis
- Participate in data team meetings as needed
- Assist in the administration of all benchmark assessments
- Participate in special education meetings or parent conferences as requested
- Maintain and improve professional competence through participation in all professional development activities
- Other duties as requested by the Principal and/or Supervisor.
REPORTS TO:
- Building Principal/Assistant Principal and/or Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, Reading or related field.
- Valid Massachusetts teaching license preferred.
- 2 years of successful classroom teaching or small group instruction
COMPENSATION: Per the ESP Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the Sandwich website.
