Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Prepare and analyze journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar systems.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account analysis and financial statement preparation.
- Handle data entry tasks with high accuracy, including invoice processing and expense tracking.
- Conduct account reconciliation activities to verify the integrity of financial data across multiple systems.
- Contribute to budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting efforts by leveraging Excel data analysis skills and advanced spreadsheet functions.

Skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting standards with experience in public accounting preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Excellent technical accounting skills including journal entries, account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and general ledger management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management.
- Strong numeracy skills with the ability to handle complex calculations involving debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis.
- Effective communication skills for customer service-oriented interactions with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
