Rehab Technician

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Rehabilitation Technician to support our therapy team in a skilled nursing facility setting. The Rehab Tech assists physical, occupational, and speech therapists with non-clinical and delegated patient care activities, treatment area preparation, equipment management, and administrative tasks to help residents achieve their highest level of function and independence.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with resident transport to and from therapy sessions.
• Prepare treatment areas and therapy equipment before and after sessions.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain therapy equipment according to facility policies.
• Assist with therapeutic activities and exercises under the direction of licensed therapists.
• Monitor residents during therapy activities and report concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Maintain therapy supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
• Document non-clinical activities and treatment support tasks as required.
• Schedule therapy appointments and coordinate resident treatment times.
• Support compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the rehabilitation department.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and transport residents safely.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate.
• Ability to assist with resident mobility and transport throughout the facility.
