Dietary Aide Dish Washer AM PM Shift

The Dietary Aide / Dishwasher assists the dietary department in providing nutritious, appealing meals to residents in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Responsibilities include meal preparation assistance, serving meals, dishwashing, cleaning kitchen areas, and following proper food safety and sanitation procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks to residents according to established menus and dietary requirements.
• Set up and deliver meal trays to residents and assist with dining room service as needed.
• Collect trays, dishes, utensils, and other food service items after meals.
• Operate the commercial dishwasher and wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment.
• Put away clean dishes, utensils, and supplies in their designated storage areas.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, countertops, tables, sinks, floors, and kitchen equipment.
• Remove garbage and dispose of waste properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, dishwashing area, and dining rooms.
• Follow food safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies as directed.
• Follow residents' prescribed diets and special meal instructions.
• Work cooperatively with dietary staff and other facility team members to support residents' needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or supervisor.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous food service, dietary aide, or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and established food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and attentive to cleanliness and detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
