Childcare Teacher / Assistant – Full-Time & Part-Time
SandS Quality Childcare, Inc. is looking to expand our team by hiring dependable, caring, and enthusiastic individuals who have a genuine passion for working with children.

We are currently hiring for part-time and full-time positions, with opportunities for individuals at different experience levels.

Available Schedules: Opening Position
Monday–Friday
6:30 AM – 9:30 AM
Closing Position
Monday–Friday
2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Full-Time Position
40 hours per week
Additional hours and scheduling may vary based on position, availability, and center needs.
Responsibilities
Childcare staff will help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supervising and engaging with children throughout the day
- Providing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Assisting with meals, snacks, and daily routines
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Following center policies and Pennsylvania childcare regulations
- Communicating professionally with families and coworkers
- Working as part of a team to provide quality care
- Helping create a positive and welcoming environment for children
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:
- 18 years of age or older
- Dependable, responsible, and punctual
- Caring, patient, energetic, and enthusiastic
- Comfortable working with children
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Interested in learning and growing in early childhood education
- Passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives
Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required for all positions. Entry-level applicants who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply.
Individuals with education, credentials, or experience that may qualify them for an Assistant Group Supervisor, Group Supervisor, or Director position are also encouraged to apply.
Employment Requirements
Applicants must be able to provide or obtain the following as required for employment:
- High School Diploma or GED
- FBI fingerprint/background clearance
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History clearance
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance
- Physical examination, including required TB testing
- Copy of diploma or applicable educational documentation
- Valid driver's license or photo ID
- Two letters of reference
Clearances must meet applicable Pennsylvania childcare requirements. SandS Quality Childcare can assist applicants with obtaining required clearances.
Experience & Education
- Childcare experience: 1 year or more preferred
- Previous early childhood education experience is a plus
- Higher education, early childhood education credentials, or supervisory experience may provide opportunities for advancement
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: Compensation is dependent upon experience, qualifications, position, availability, and scheduling needs.
For employees who utilize our employee childcare benefit, compensation may also vary based on whether the employee brings a child or children to the center and the number of children attending.
Sign-on bonus: May be available for qualifying positions.
Employee childcare: Eligible employees may be able to bring their child or children to the center while working. Childcare arrangements and any related compensation adjustments will be discussed during the hiring process.
Career development: Opportunities to gain experience and work toward additional responsibilities and leadership positions may be available.
