What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor & Employment Litigation Attorney - PART-TIME position at Sands Anderson?

We are seeking a Labor & Employment Litigation Associate for a part-time position within our Durham, NC office, averaging 15 to 20 hours per week. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in Labor & Employment Litigation or a related, transferable area of practice.
This role is about more than handling cases. It is about being a trusted advisor to employers who rely on us for clear guidance and effective advocacy. What the work looks like
You will partner with public and private employers on a wide range of workplace issues. Some days you will be in the courtroom. Other days, you will be drafting policies, advising leadership, or representing clients before agencies. No matter the task, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your work while being supported by a team that values trust and collaboration.
What we hope you bring
- At least 2 years of labor and employment law experience, including litigation.
- A North Carolina law license required
- Strong writing, advocacy, and counseling skills.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and interest in building relationships.
