Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Knowledge of and experience with Boats, Motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and personal watercraft
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Greet all customers and assist them as necessary.
- Answer calls and provide exceptional customer service.
- Cashier in-person and over the phone transactions
- Retail sales and cashier experience
- Maintain a positive, energetic, attitude with customers and team members.
- Be able to work well with other team members/departments to achieve dealership goals with minimal supervision at times.
- Keep a tidy and organized work area.
- Identify needed and/or desired parts & accessories for customers and service technicians in an efficient and timely manner.
- Inform customers of any specials, new merchandise, and packages
- Upsell and/or offer adds-on to every customer to increase invoice lines.
- Keep track of special orders and ensure customers are informed with realistic wait times.
- Assist in stocking, cleaning, and rearranging products in the showroom and/or in warehouse when necessary.
- Stay up to date with part fitments, new merchandise, and promotions.
- Experience with using a parts diagram system is a PLUS!
- Be attentive to detail and have desire to learn new products and skills.
- Schedule, and coordinate, service orders with technicians.
- Actively communicate with customers, team members, other departments, and vendors in a professional manner
- Keep detailed, accurate records on service work, and warranties.
- Responsible for walking through the services performed on customer’s units with each customer, always being transparent with project costs.
- Ability to understand inventory, costs, and sales.
- Ability to learn and understand the basic mechanical and electrical systems on our products to communicate issues to employees and customers.
- Computer knowledge and ability to learn software program we use as well as vendor sites.
- Complete required training from various manufacturers
- Typing of 25 wpm
- Other tasks required by manager.
Physical Demands: You will be on your feet 80-90% of your day. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
