Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with genuine hospitality.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our Toast POS system ensuring special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure their needs are met, providing attentive customer service throughout their visit.
- Handle cash, process payments accurately with POS systems, and give correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; assist with bussing tables as needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues quickly.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast or Aloha preferred , however training will be available.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill splitting accurately.
- Experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, or food preparation is highly valued in this role.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
