We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and a positive patient experience. Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Assess patients’ oral health through thorough examinations and medical/dental history reviews.
- Utilize dental imaging techniques such as X-rays to diagnose dental conditions accurately.
- Maintain precise and complete medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies to promote lifelong oral health.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures by participating in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice dentistry with current DEA registration if applicable.
- Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or office setting.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations including pediatrics; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation requirements.
