Position Summary
Sandia Paper is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering products to customers in a timely and professional manner. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26 ft. box truck in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo to prevent damage during transport.
- Complete local and regional deliveries according to assigned routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and proof-of-delivery documentation.
- Verify orders and ensure deliveries are complete and accurate.
- Communicate effectively with office, warehouse staff, and customers.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties when deliveries are completed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of box truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and delivery routing.
