What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Sandia Office Supply?
Welcome to Sandia Office Supply! We are looking to fill a full-time Driver position.
Essential Functions: A driver helps to deliver merchandise to customers in a timely manner to various locations. Our office materials such as supplies and furniture are assembled and transported by company-owned vehicles that a driver is required to do and operate for their job.
In order to be a delivery driver, one must have a valid state license required to drive.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load merchandise from warehouse into vehicle
- Unload merchandise from vehicle and into customer’s building
- Travel knowledge of the local area/state roadways
- Must meet all delivery requirements
- Driver must keep a record of all the incidents, including any accidents or tickets and report it
- Ensure safety to and from the delivery locations
- Driver must comply with all the traffic/ road laws
- Routinely inspect vehicle(s) and notify management for maintenance or repairs
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness (inside and outside)
- Abide by company policies and procedures
Prerequisites:
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug-test
- Driving experience, a plus
- Must be physically fit (able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs)
