About the Role:
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records and reporting. This position is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can analyze financial data to provide insights that support strategic decision-making. Ultimately, the Senior Accountant contributes to the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization by maintaining robust accounting controls and delivering timely, accurate financial information.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements in the United States.
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and financial modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including coordinating with other departments to gather necessary information.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to assist management in financial planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure adherence to relevant tax regulations.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare Financial Statements
- Maintain and update all fixed assets and leases.
- Review credit card transactions and reconciliation forms.

Working Conditions:
Normally works weekdays from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime possible to meet organizational needs. Some overnight travel may be expected. Will be required to work all inclement weather events. This is an in-person only position.
Pay: $78,000.00 - $94,000.00 per year
