Sandhills Medical Foundation is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the community since 1977, our mission is to deliver quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective healthcare to responsive community needs. In this role, you will provide comprehensive patient care and manage pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Patient Care
- Review provider orders to safely prepare, compound, and dispense medications.
- Monitor drug therapies to detect incompatibilities and advise on clinical interventions.
- Educate patients by providing thorough counseling on new and existing medications.
- Support the care team by answering pharmacological inquiries from healthcare providers.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and organizational guidelines.
Operations & Leadership
- Supervise ancillary staff to ensure efficient, professional daily pharmacy operations.
- Manage inventory and oversight of the medication purchasing system and formulary.
- Control pricing and billing, including sliding fee scales and insurance claim tracking.
- Handle revenue generation directly with patients during medication pick-up.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, Pharm.D., or equivalent FPGE (NABP) certification.
- Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
- Insurance Credentialing: Eligible to participate with Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party payers.
