The Part-Time Workforce Continuing Education Instructor – Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering classroom and hands-on instruction for students preparing to enter the commercial trucking industry and obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Instruction includes classroom training, vehicle inspections, basic vehicle control skills, range/yard instruction, and supervised behind-the-wheel driving. The instructor is responsible for teaching safe commercial vehicle operation, reinforcing professional driving practices, evaluating student progress, and preparing students to demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for entry-level commercial driving.
Preferred education and experience:

- Participate in required College training, meetings, and processes applicable to part-time instructional personnel.
- Collaborate with other CDL instructors and College staff to maintain consistent instruction and support program operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
