What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Technologies Toelle Student Success Center - Student Associate position at Sandhills Community College?
The candidate selected for this position will report to the Engineering & Construction Technologies Lab Manager and Coordinator of Tutoring and Mentoring, Mike Sassano. The Toelle Student Success Center Tutor and Work study provides support for lab management and organization and provides tutoring support for students in Engineering and Construction Technologies courses.
- Support and encourage students through tutoring activities.
- Ensure students seeking tutoring sign in and out of the lab appropriately.
- Verify lab tutoring hours weekly.
- Perform lab organization and management tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Current student enrolled in Engineering and Construction Technologies program classes at Sandhills Community College.
- Must have successfully completed college algebra (C or better).
- Must have successfully completed a college CAD course (C or better).
- Must have completed a college English course (C or better).
- The ability to lift 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Good Microsoft Office skills, and completion of an Introduction to Computers course is preferred.
