What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Digital Media Technology Instructor position at Sandhills Community College?
Prepare and teach assigned courses.
Prepare, review, and update course outlines on an annual basis, ensuring that course content is up-to-date, relevant, accurate, and consistent with state and national accreditation standards.
Maintain records for each course taught.
Teach courses in assigned methods and modalities.
Stay current with discipline-specific technology and instructional technologies.
Teach courses at assigned times, which may include daytime, evening, or occasional weekend classes, and at assigned locations, which may include Hoke County High School, North Moore High School, and the Hoke Center of Sandhills Community College.
Submit all required college reports in a timely manner.
Assist in student retention efforts.
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with students, faculty, and staff.
Assist with the selection and ordering of supplies, equipment, textbooks, and instructional materials as appropriate.
Maintain regular, posted office hours as approved by the Department Head or Chair.
Attend departmental and college meetings as scheduled.
Develop professional relationships characterized by courtesy, respect, and confidentiality.
Respond promptly and professionally to emails from students, colleagues, Department Chairs/Heads, Deans, Vice Presidents, the Vice-Provost, Provost, and President.
Actively discourage harassment, bullying, or abrasive behavior toward colleagues, students, and campus visitors.
Support and participate in college events and activities.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean, Department Head, or Chair.
- Must hold an Associate's degree in the discipline, or a related discipline, from an accredited institution.
