THE VITAL ROLE YOU'LL HAVE
As our full-time Finance Controller, your day-to-day will be a blend of strategy, analysis, and leadership. You'll manage all financial reporting, ensuring our books are balanced, our budgets are on track, and our cash flow is optimized. You'll be responsible for month-end financial statements, reconciling accounts, and preparing cash-flow projections that keep us ahead of the curve. You'll work closely with the CEO to analyze company performance, generate reports, and make recommendations that influence key business decisions. Your role will also include overseeing payroll, AP/AR collections, vendor negotiations, and trade rebate management, ensuring smooth financial operations. Beyond that, you'll implement and improve financial systems, policies, and procedures to maximize efficiency and profitability. Whether it's forecasting budgets, leading audits, or executing banking transactions, you'll be the driving force behind our financial success and stability.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or other business-related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller, preferably within a consumer-facing trades company (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- GAAP accounting experience with accrual methods
- Solid experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Deep understanding of QuickBooks Online
Having experience with ServiceTitan software is a plus. Advanced credentials such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are preferred but not required for this Finance Controller role.
