What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Trainee position at Sanders Industries Holdings?
Position Summary:
This is a training position, with a training period of 8 to 12 months to become a Nondestructive Test Inspector in the Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Inspection methods. Perform Nondestructive testing activities to prepare for NDT Level 2 position. Work under the direction of The Responsible NDT Level 3.
Responsibilities:
- Work from drawings, specifications, work orders and general instructions, will perform non-destructive test inspections on a variety of aerospace parts.
- Set up and monitor equipment and related gages.
- Record inspection reports, issue rejection documentation and maintain records, data, logs, etc.
- Evaluate Interpret and document inspection results in accordance with written procedures and customer specifications.
- Develop written instructions from approved general procedures.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.
- Make recommendations for improvements to work processes.
- Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications
Education:
- High School Degree or an equivalent degree
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year working in a manufacturing environment
