Rubber Mixer – 1st Shift
ABBA Roller is seeking a Rubber Mix Operating Technician/Compounder to support manufacturing operations on 1st shift. This role is responsible for weighing, mixing, and processing rubber compound formulations while ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety and production standards. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a rubber manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented production environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company standards
- Adhere to all quality assurance procedures and manufacturing guidelines
- Meet daily production goals established by Production leadership
- Weigh and measure ingredients according to approved formulas and specifications
- Mix compound formulations following written instructions and batch procedures
- Monitor mixing operations to ensure products meet quality and specification requirements
- Perform visual inspections and verify ingredient weights during processing
- Maintain formula traceability and follow FIFO/batch release procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership when ingredients or materials need replenishment
- Identify process improvement opportunities and submit recommendations as appropriate
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Coordinate with maintenance when repairs or additional support are needed
- Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a rubber manufacturing or compound mixing environment preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to read, write, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures and production protocols
- Ability to work independently while contributing within a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand for 8 hours per shift
- Good hand-eye coordination and close/distance vision capabilities
Training
- On-the-job training will be provided on applicable procedures, work instructions, and equipment within the assigned area
