Handyman Assistant / Construction Assistant / Laborer

Job Summary​

Sanders Construction & Home Improvement is looking for an energetic and reliable Handyman Helper to assist with our residential projects. If you are handy with basic tools, enjoy working with your hands, and are looking to grow your skills in the construction trade, we want to hear from you. No professional experience is required—we are willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic.

​Key Responsibilities & Duties

​Project Support: Assist lead handymen with various tasks including drywall, painting, carpentry, and flooring. ​Site Preparation: Set up job sites, protect floors/furniture with drop cloths, and organize tools for the day.

​Cleaning & Organization:Keep the job site clean and safe by clearing debris and sweeping regularly.

​Manual Labor:Help load and unload materials from work vehicles; move heavy furniture or appliances when needed.

​Learning & Growth: Follow instructions closely and learn to use various power and hand tools safely.

​Required Skills & Qualifications

​Reliability: You show up on time every day, ready to work.

Physical Ability:Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and comfortably use a ladder. ​Attitude: A positive, "can-do" mindset and a willingness to learn the right way to do things. ​

Tools: Basic familiarity with simple hand tools (hammer, tape measure, screwdriver) is a plus.

​Requirement: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Dallas/Paulding area.
