Sander Brothers Construction Company is seeking a Milling Supervisor to assist with our Asphalt Paving and Milling Operations here is the Lowcountry. This position will be vital in our day-to-day asphalt operations and would provide direct field and management support within the department and company overall.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily milling operations and maintain daily timesheets for all personnel
- Develop and teach a team of milling operators to perform all aspects of both operations and maintenance of the milling machine
- Coordinate with Asphalt Area Manager, Field Managers and Project managers for scheduling of milling operations
- Monitor and maintain production goals for milling projects
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance, coordinate and perform preventive maintenance on machines and be able to troubleshoot as necessary
- Develop and implement training programs that follows best practices and enhances team capabilities
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 5 years with milling operations
- Strong leadership, supervision and communication skills with ability to teach
- Knowledge of all operations of milling machines both top and bottom
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair
- Ability to read plans and understand grade elevations
- Valid Drivers License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Soft skills with computer to be able to keep up with time and production logs
