Summary
We are seeking an afternoon (11:00-6:00 daily) Preschool/Pre-K Teacher to join our team at Sandcastles Child Care & Learning Center. In this role, you will help create learning experiences for preschool-aged children, fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with lunch breaks, planning and acting as the afternoon teacher in our Pre-K program .
- Maintain a warm, welcoming classroom environment where children feel safe and valued.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas.
- Engage with parents to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among children.
- Facilitate afternoon activities that encourage socialization, creativity, and cognitive skills.
Requirements
- EEC Teacher Certification
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create a positive classroom atmosphere that fosters learning.
