What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Educational Assistant - FALL START Full time, Part time or sub position at Sandcastle Clinical and Educational Services?
Sandcastle is looking to hire an Educational Assistant to work with children of all developmental abilities. This is a full time position, however those who are interested in part time should also apply.
Applicants must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass a background check. Preference for applicants who have already obtained their Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification, Education Tech II or Education III certification or who have experience or schooling in Early Childhood Education. The Educational Assistant will:
- support children in a class setting in completion of goals described in the child's IEP or treatment plan
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for children, promoting social-emotional development and positive peer interactions
- Assist with daily routines, including diapering and feeding
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns

Staff eligible for State of Maine Early Childhood Educator Workforce Salary Supplement of $200 a month on top of hourly wages
