What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Kennel Technician position at Sand Springs Small Animal Hospital?
Duties include:
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their individual needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal living areas
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff
- Assist with grooming and bathing of animals
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with animals in a kennel or veterinary setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to safely handle animals of various sizes
