Contract Days:
180 Days (teacher contact) plus an additional 10 days; total 190-day contract, 7 hours daily


Supervises:
Students, Paraprofessionals, Volunteers


Position Summary: The Student Success Coordinator provides leadership in promoting a positive, safe, and supportive school environment. This position will oversee student discipline, attendance, and behavioral interventions while fostering a culture that supports academic success and personal growth. The Student Success Coordinator works collaboratively with staff, students, and families to address student needs through both accountability and targeted intervention strategies.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in teaching, counseling, or school administration
  • Knowledge of student discipline procedures, school law, and intervention frameworks (e.g., MTSS, RTI)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Pass an OSBI background check

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce student discipline policies and procedures
  • Address student behavioral concerns using fair, consistent, and restorative practices
  • Implement tiered behavioral interventions for at-risk students
  • Monitor and improve student attendance, including interventions for truancy
  • Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and support staff to develop intervention plans for students with academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs
  • Lead or support the RTI processes related to behavior and student support
  • Analyze student discipline, attendance, and intervention data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes
  • Build and maintain a positive school culture that promotes respect, accountability, and student engagement
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student concerns, consequences, and intervention plans
  • Support staff in implementing effective classroom management and intervention strategies
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations related to student services
  • Supervise student activities, events, and programs as assigned
  • Participate in administrative team meetings and contribute to school leadership decisions
  • Performs all other tasks that a supervisor may assign

  • Physical ability to move throughout the campus and respond to student situations as needed

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Abide by state statutes, school board policies, and regulations.
  • Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
  • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
  • Serve on committees as assigned.
  • Remain current on instructional practices in education. (e.g., instructional technology)

Regular Requirements: Stand for extended periods; walk; twist at the neck and trunk; bend and reach with hands and arms overhead, above the shoulder, and horizontally; repetitive use of fingers and hands to grasp and/or operate equipment and demonstrate lessons to students; lift/move up to 15 pounds

Occasional Requirements: Lift/move up to 25 pounds, ability to administer CPR

Visual Requirements: Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information
