NOW HIRING - Kitchen Supervisor
The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort is seeking an experienced, driven, and detail-oriented Kitchen Supervisor to join our culinary leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily back-of-house operations, maintaining food quality and consistency, leading and developing kitchen staff, and supporting the management team in upholding the culinary standards our guests expect.
This is a hands-on leadership position — you’ll be on the line, in the kitchen, and setting the standard for execution and teamwork every shift.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all back-of-house operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen service from prep through close
- Lead, coach, and motivate line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers to maintain high standards of food quality, speed, and presentation
- Execute and enforce recipes, plating standards, and portion control to ensure consistency across every dish
- Manage kitchen workflow, station assignments, and ticket times to keep service running efficiently
- Monitor food quality throughout service, conducting line checks and tastings to uphold culinary standards
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food storage, labeling, and temperature logs
- Assist with inventory management, food ordering, and cost control to minimize waste and stay within budget
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate food delivery and effective communication on specials, 86’d items, and wait times
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of kitchen team members
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and catering menus as directed by the Executive Chef
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times
- Support catering events, banquets, and special functions at the resort as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment
- At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience in a back-of-house role
- Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold a kitchen team accountable
- Working knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and health code regulations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and quality
- Current food handler’s permit (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Catering and banquet kitchen experience or a strong interest in learning the catering side of the business
- Experience with inventory management systems and food cost analysis
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
