What are the responsibilities and job description for the Para-Professional/Literacy Support position at Sand Creek Community Schools?
POSTING TITLE: Para-Professional/Literacy Support
LOCATION: Jr./Sr. High School (Grades 6-12)
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Until Filled
SUMMARY:
This person would work under the direct supervision of certified staff to maintain a safe and healthy educational environment; assist/support students with personal care activities and appropriate social behaviors; assist staff in reinforcing selected student educational and therapy activities. Additionally, an ideal candidate would provide literacy support to students in grades 6-12.
EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Background/experience in educations/special education preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Willing to work with students with disabilities
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Part-time / Average 35 hours per week / School year only
