Overview

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our expanding team. The role will be responsible for performing a variety of day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented and have strong GAAP knowledge, as well as Salesforce and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries and GL account reconciliations for a private company.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Assist with external audits and tax filings.
• Maintain secure and confidential financial records in accordance with company policies.
• Support leadership with financial reporting and process improvements to enable data-driven decision making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum of 4-5 years accounting experience is needed.
• Experience in a consulting or growth-oriented technology firm is helpful.
• Proficiency with Salesforce PSA (Professional Service Automation platform) is preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software (such as Sage, QuickBooks or similar).
• Proficiency with Excel including pivot tables, V lookups
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy is necessary.
• High degree of integrity and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills working with different teams and interacting routinely with leadership teams effectively.
• CPA in progress or completed is a plus but not required.

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a full time salaried role and the expected range is $65k-80k. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
