The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and repair activities within the skilled nursing facility to ensure a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to safety, sanitation, and building codes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and supervise all daily maintenance operations including preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.

Ensure the facility remains in compliance with all applicable regulations (e.g., CMS, OSHA, ODH, fire codes).

Conduct regular inspections of the facility, equipment, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, etc.).

Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and regulatory compliance.

Work within TELS system

Coordinate and oversee work by outside contractors and vendors.

Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests from staff or administration.

Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and appearance of the physical plant, including landscaping, parking areas, and interior spaces.
