Duties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their tattoo ideas, providing expert guidance on design, placement, and color options
- Prepare clients by explaining tattoo procedures, safety protocols, and aftercare instructions to ensure a positive experience
- Follow strict sterilization protocols for tattooing equipment and workspaces to maintain the highest standards of sanitation and safety regulations
- Execute precise tattooing techniques using various tools and ink colors, ensuring clean lines and vibrant results
- Maintain detailed records of each procedure in accordance with health regulations and studio policies
- Assist with body piercing services when qualified, adhering to piercing safety regulations and sterilization procedures
- Educate clients on tattoo and piercing safety regulations, aftercare routines, and potential risks to promote responsible body art practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tattooing with a strong portfolio demonstrating artistic skill and versatility
- Knowledge of body piercing techniques is a plus, along with certification or training in piercing safety protocols
- Familiarity with tattoo sterilization protocols and sanitation standards to ensure client safety at all times
- Strong understanding of color theory, shading techniques, and professional art or design principles
- Excellent communication skills for client consultations, understanding their vision, and providing professional advice
- Ability to follow first aid protocols in case of emergencies or adverse reactions during procedures
- Store management experience is advantageous for those interested in advancing into supervisory roles or managing studio operations
