Role DescriptionSanctuary Recovery Centers is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) for two program tracks:
- Adult Program (Full-Time, On-Site | Phoenix, AZ)
- Adolescent Program (Full-Time, On-Site | Phoenix, AZ)
Behavioral Health Technicians work closely with clients to provide supportive care, assist with behavior monitoring, and help implement treatment programming. This role is hands-on and client-facing, with a focus on maintaining structure, safety, and engagement in the recovery environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support and supervision to clients in a treatment setting
- Observe, document, and report client behavior, mood, and progress
- Support clinical treatment plans and reinforce program expectations
- Assist with groups, activities, and structured programming as assigned
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and recovery-focused environment
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care
- Strong communication skills and ability to implement behavioral interventions
- Basic understanding of psychology and human behavior
- High level of empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, or addiction recovery is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education/certifications in behavioral health or psychology preferred

IMPORTANT NOTE (Adolescent Program Applicants)- For the Adolescent Program, applicants must have prior experience working with adolescents in a behavioral health or structured care environment. Qualifying experience may include an adolescent treatment program, group home setting, youth residential program, juvenile services, or other adolescent-focused clinical/support roles.
