Shipping And Receiving Clerk at Sanctuary Florida

Sanctuary Medicinals in Apopka, FL is looking for one Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in inventory records, and maintaining a smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This leader will oversee the smooth operation of our logistics department and play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate shipments to our Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTC).

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
• Document any damaged shipments and/or discrepancies the same day they are received, notify appropriate staff, and follow appropriate reporting protocols.
• Track exact package count for deliveries and keep log records always updated.
• Ensure all received packages are signed for and accompanied with a shipping confirmation and/or receipt.
• Record and track all incoming and outgoing shipments using computerized systems or manual logs.
• Maintain organized inventory storage areas, ensuring efficient use of space and easy access to goods.
• Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve shipment-related issues promptly.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while handling and transporting goods.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as loading/unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Collaborate with other team members to streamline shipping and receiving processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Complete any other projects and/or tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems and software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with basic math calculations and units of measurement.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if required).
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1-2 years logistics, retail, or customer service experience
• Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date.
Familiarity with the cannabis industry
