Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Manage classroom behavior proactively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Utilize classroom management skills to organize activities that promote active participation and foster independence among children.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support students with autism, developmental disabilities, or special education needs.
- Monitor student progress through assessments, standardized testing, and observations; adapt instructional methods accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of each child's IEP (Individualized Education Program), progress reports, and behavioral data to ensure compliance and personalized support.
- Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance educational experiences and facilitate interactive lessons suitable for early childhood education settings.
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing age-appropriate activities for young children.
- Experience working with children with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder or developmental delays; familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to handle challenging behaviors effectively.
- Knowledge of special education practices, IEP development, and behavioral health strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and specialists to support child welfare and learning goals.
- Certifications in early intervention, behavioral therapy, or related fields are preferred; Montessori or preschool certification is a plus.
