Sanctuary Clinics is seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist with expertise in working with individuals diagnosed with psychotic disorders, including Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar I Disorder with psychotic features. The ideal candidate will be experienced in evidence-based therapies and trauma-informed care and will skillfully integrate EMDR, expressive arts, music, and Christian faith perspectives into individual and group psychotherapy. This position emphasizes reducing emotional distress, improving behavioral regulation, and cultivating spiritual resilience within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with psychotic disorders in PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using CBT for Psychosis (CBTp), DBT, ACT, EMDR, and strengths-based approaches. Utilize trauma-informed strategies to address early childhood adversity, hallucinations, delusions, emotional dysregulation, and internalized stigma. Facilitate expressive groups (music, art, writing, movement) that allow for emotional processing, grounding, and cognitive integration. Support clients in exploring spiritual questions and Christian faith-based practices as pathways to hope and meaning. Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, case management, and pastoral care to provide holistic, person-centered treatment. Provide psychoeducation to clients and families on managing psychotic symptoms, medication adherence, and relapse prevention. Create and maintain clear documentation in accordance with AHCA and Sanctuary Clinics standards. Support clients in developing social and vocational goals, self-awareness, and improved community functioning. Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and clinical rounds focused on complex trauma and psychosis.
Qualifications:
- Active license in the state of practice (or eligibility for licensure). Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with severe and persistent mental illness, including psychotic disorders. Certification or training in EMDR desired, Experience in CBTp, DBT, or ACT preferred. Background in creative arts, music, or movement therapy strongly desired. Demonstrated ability to integrate Christian values and spiritual insight into clinical work while respecting client autonomy. Comfortable working in a team-based clinical model with an emphasis on faith, neuroscience, and recovery. Strong communication, clinical writing, and boundary-setting skills.
