Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly presented
- Assist guests with food selections, answer questions about menu items, and provide friendly in-person customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen stations, and food service equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing procedures
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including warming trays, coffee machines, toasters, and other small appliances
- Handle manual tasks such as food portioning, weight handling, and processing cash transactions at the POS (Point of Sale) system when applicable
- Support food handling practices that meet food safety management standards while maintaining high levels of hygiene and sanitation
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred, especially in fine dining or catering settings
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures is highly desirable
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and POS systems will be advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience working in restaurant or catering environments demonstrating a commitment to cleanliness and food safety standards
- Ability to lift weights safely during food handling tasks and maintain physical stamina for long shifts
