Tempe Impacts Education’s caring volunteers collaborate with community groups to foster excellence in our Tempe Elementary School District students, families and educators by securing resources to empower them to successfully accomplish their goals.

 

About the Role:

 

Why the role exists:

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of projects as part of the partnership between Tempe Impacts Education (TIE), Tempe Elementary and a Partner Foundation. The manager will serve as the liaison between TIE, Tempe Elementary and the Partner Foundation.

 

We’re looking for someone who is an active collaborator, highly motivated, visionary and innovative leader. The manager works in collaboration with community members, community partners, teachers, administrators, district staff and district leadership to ensure that projects align with the Partner Foundation's goals and funding priorities.

 

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

The Project Manager is the leader, spokesperson and resident expert on the grant goals, funding priorities and district implementation plan. This role ensures that the five-year grant funded plan is implemented with fidelity and that sustainable support beyond the initial five-year commitment is available to address academic, industry and community needs/interest.

 

Central to the role will be coordinating and executing the following strategies to ensure that the partnership/program can meet or exceed our partner’s expectations.

 

  • Internal and external communications execution:
    1. Assume administration
    2. Coordinate and administer STEM support and professional development services, wraparound support, curriculum, community support and activities into daily experiences of children and
    3. Provide open communication and partnership across schools, departments and leadership teams to support a culture of accountability, service, inclusion, equity and high-performance.
    4. Coordination to produce and deploy STEM resources including K-12 school districts, industry partners, NPOs and higher education.
    5. Works collaboratively with district leadership and school leadership teams to align the Partner Foundation’s goals with district strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Project Management
  1. Be the coordinating mechanism and central hub to align the education continuum and industry.
  2. Bring together and coordinate ideas of workstream collaborators.
  3. Serves as the point of contact for communications and implementation of the grant goals. 
  4. Coordinate and execute data sharing agreements, contacts, MOUs and creates metrics to measure/evaluate programs
  5. Cultivate/nurture relationships with school administrators and leaders.

 

Who We’re Looking For:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  1. State of Arizona administrative certification. Applicants must have on file in the Human Resources Department a copy of the appropriate valid certificate or evidence of eligibility to be appropriately certified by the Arizona Department of Education.
  2. Successful experience as central office supervisor.
  3. A demonstrated history of building a strong, cohesive team that excels in customer service and support.
  4. A strong commitment to service and personal accountability. 
  5. A minimum of five (5) years of administrative and/or management experience.
  6. A minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience.
  7. Ability to successfully implement organizational change. 
  8. The ability to make big ideas and complex concepts simple, easy to understand and compelling. 
  9. Ability to express ideas and concepts clearly and concisely in both oral and written form; use language and medium appropriate to the audience.
  10. Leadership experience in implementing and directing a variety of large-scale projects and/or operations in an urban district. 
  11. Excellent organizational, written, communication and problem-solving/creative thinking skills.
  12. Performs other duties/tasks as related to the Partner Foundation

Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
