Duties

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred with higher education teaching experience.
- Proven classroom experience teaching social studies at the middle or high school level; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies including standardized testing protocols.
- Familiarity with AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, copy editing, proofreading, and journalistic writing techniques.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and implementing behavior management strategies effectively.
- Excellent communication skills combined with organizational skills necessary for lesson planning and classroom administration.
- Knowledge of learning technology platforms and digital tools used for instruction and research purposes.
- Skills in mentoring students, supporting literacy education initiatives, and providing academic advising are highly valued.
