Your Specialized Role: Family Therapist
Sana Lake is expanding its specialized relational health services and seeks a highly skilled and passionate Family & Relational Therapist to join our clinical team. This role is essential to our mission, focusing on healing and empowering individuals, couples, and families through specialized, evidence-based systemic and relational practices.
As a Family & Relational Therapist, you will manage a dedicated caseload, providing specialized, intensive clinical services across various modalities, including:
Core Responsibilities & Clinical Services
Systemic Therapy (Individuals, Couples, & Families):- Conducting intensive therapy sessions to address the systemic impact of Substance Use Disorders (SUD), mental health issues, and complex life transitions.
- Focusing on improving communication, boundary setting, conflict resolution, and overall relational health within the client's system.
Individual & Couples Sessions:
- Providing specialized evidence-based therapy (e.g., CBT, DBT, EFT, or other trauma-informed models) to individuals struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges.
- Facilitating couples counseling to enhance emotional connection, repair relational ruptures, and build sustainable intimacy.
Specialized Group Counseling:
- Designing and leading therapeutic groups focused on emotional regulation, communication skill-building, relationship dynamics, and recovery support for various populations (e.g., partners, parents, or individuals).
Comprehensive Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conducting thorough bio-psychosocial and developmental assessments to inform individualized treatment planning and accurate diagnosis.
Collaborative Treatment Planning:
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and coordinate seamless discharge planning that integrates the client's core support systems.
Clinical Communication & Coordination:
- Maintaining critical communication loops with team members, family systems, schools, external referral sources, and other service providers to ensure holistic client care and continuity of treatment.
We Would Love to Learn More About You If You Possess:
Essential Clinical Qualifications:
• Active and unrestricted LPC, LCSW, LMFT license.
• Proven clinical experience working with the adolescent population and their families.
• Experience in treating or supporting families dealing with a primary or co-occurring Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
Key Knowledge and Skills:
• Deep familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of adolescent development, family systems theory, and recovery principles.
• An understanding of the principles of trauma-informed care and how they apply to treating youth and family systems.
