Position Summary: Assists the Primary Care Physicians in providing medical services to patients in specialized areas such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and Obstetrics/Gynecology. Essential Functions of the Job: Examines patients and diagnose illness. Assists or performs routine laboratory, screening, and therapeutic procedures. Facilitates the physician's referral of patients to the appropriate health facilities, agencies or resources of the community. Administers medication to patients according to established policies. Coordinates the preparation of reports and written documentation including medical records, as required by the department, company, state and federal agencies. Job Requirements Experience Required: Preferred: 2 years of primary care experience after completion of clinical training Education Required: Licensed Nurse Practitioner Certifications Required: RN license and CPR Certification Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job: Good oral and written communication. Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job: Suturing, Casting Equipment Used: Electrocardiogram Spirometry Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: May be required to work evenings or weekends. Travel to any satellite facilities. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Frequent sitting. Must be able to work in an outpatient clinic setting with moderate noise levels and controlled office temperatures.
