Join San Mateo County Office of Education in leading one of our most meaningful programs β a specialized school serving students from kindergarten through age 22 with extensive support needs.
What makes this role different:
You'll lead a two-building campus designed around students, featuring an accessible outdoor learning space, simulated real-world learning environments (mock apartment, microbusiness offices, etc.), and a deeply committed staff supported by a dedicated behavior team and a Training Placement Assistant focused on transition skills.
What you'll do:
β Direct day-to-day operations, instruction, and campus activities
β Supervise, evaluate, and develop teaching and support staff
β Guide curriculum alignment and IEP development and implementation
β Coordinate communication across districts, agencies, families, and staff
β Oversee budget, staffing, assessment, and program effectiveness
β Build partnerships that expand what's possible for our students
