CFO Chief Financial Officer

The Finance Director is responsible for the financial management, accounting operations, and reporting of the credit union. This role ensures accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and effective financial controls in support of the credit union’s safety and soundness.

• Maintain the general ledger and oversee daily accounting operations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and board reports
• Reconcile accounts, investments, and cash positions
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting (Call Reports)

·         Process ACH exception

·         Upload Fed Reserve ACH file and Balance

·         Review GL

·         Monitor Cash balances

·         Work with Stifel regarding investments

·         Post CD interest/investment wire from Stifel

·         Update investment spreadsheet with New or Maturing CDs

·         Assist in balancing City/Firefighters payroll deduction if needed

·         Remit payroll tax payments.  State and Federal (10th of the month)

·         Update investment spreadsheet with year-to-date CD interest received

·         For Board Packet (Place in Current Month’s Board Packet Folder)

o    Print off Reports from Portico

o    Print off Investments by maturity

o    Create Delinquent Account list (Both old ALLL and CECEL)

o    Print off any Policy that needs to be reviewed by Board

·         Post JV for CD accrued Investment Interest.  Reverse last month’s

·         Save file copy of just finished month’s Investment Spreadsheet

·         Close out 732, written checks account to Acct 731

·         Update CUBALnnn spreadsheet from Portico GL listing

·         Complete NCUA 5300

·         File Quarterly Fed and State wage reports

·         Create employees W-2s

·         File Federal and State year-end wage reports

·         Setup new CUBAL for new year

·         Assist Manager with Audits.  Both NCUA and Supervisory Committee
