Overview
We seek a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Meat Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers. As a Retail Meat Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers by providing exceptional service, assisting with meat product demonstrations, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized.
Duties
- In-Store (SAN Meat Market)
- Greet customers, receive and process orders using Shopify POS
- Locate product in retail cooler / freezer, hand-cut steaks based on customer specifications
- Maintain Shopify - Order, Product, and Customer records
- Maintain physical inventory, receive orders
- Promptly answer Phones, check messages, and respond to emails
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance in the retail area and surrounding area
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, knives, and other tools
- Follow USDA and TN Department of Agriculture guidelines for food safety and handling
- Follow the SAN Meat Packing checklist, operation standards, and protocols
- Stock retail coolers with ALL products
- Prepare, smoke and pack beef jerky
- Start and End Cash register
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, which can be as varied as facility and ground maintenance, cleaning and sanitation tasks, meat packing, and simple meat cutting.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels.
- Willingness to learn about products and services offered in the store.
