What Your Days Will Look Like
As our Medical Records Clerk, you'll be the go-to resource for maintaining organized, accurate, and accessible patient records that support quality care across the organization. You will file, scan, retrieve, and update both electronic and paper medical records while ensuring information remains complete and properly maintained. You'll process requests for records from patients, providers, insurance carriers, and authorized organizations while carefully following HIPAA guidelines and privacy requirements. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams, prepare records for referrals, appointments, audits, and continuity of care, update patient information within the EHR system, and work with staff to obtain any missing documentation needed to keep records current and compliant.
