Job Summary:
The Flagline Coordinator is responsible for organizing, directing, and supporting the flagline (color guard) as part of the school’s marching band program. This position focuses on coordinating routines, supervising students, and ensuring consistent preparation for performances and school events.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and teach flagline routines in collaboration with the band director
- Organize and supervise practices, rehearsals, and performances
- Support student skill development in flag techniques, movement, and performance
- Maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment for all participants
- Monitor student attendance, participation, and conduct
- Assist with preparation for performances, competitions, and school events
- Oversee proper use, care, and storage of equipment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
Qualifications:
- Experience with color guard, dance, or related performance activity preferred
- Ability to work effectively with high school students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Availability for after-school practices, evenings, and occasional weekends
Requirements:
- Must meet district requirements for extra duty assignments
- Fingerprint clearance/background check required
