The San Luis Coastal Unified School District is looking for an additional team member for our nursing team. If you are licensed as an LVN or RN and enjoy working with school age youth, we encourage you to apply today.
Licensed Nurses at SLCUSD provide a variety of nursing and specialized health care procedures, administer first aid and medications to students, and perform related duties as assigned.
The current vacancy is for a 24 hour per week assignment.
SLCUSD offers medical/dental/vision/retirement (CalPERS) benefits, 13 paid holidays per year for employees on a 10-month work calendar, generous time off accrual rates for vacation and sick leave, and a desirable Monday through Friday daytime work schedule. Additionally, new employees receive a step increase after passing probation, and then annual step increases each year thereafter, up to step 19 on the corresponding salary schedule.

Start date will be as soon as possible, contingent upon fingerprint and TB clearances. Position location is to be determined, but will be within the District (San Luis Obispo, Los Osos, and/or Morro Bay). Nurses are assigned by Student Services and may serve more than one site.
Employees holding a position (or combination of positions) of 36 hours per week or more are required to enroll in a health benefits plan. Information on plans and premiums is located on our webpage.
QUALIFICATION PROCEDURE:
The District application covering relevant knowledge, skills, abilities and experience will be evaluated on a job-related basis to determine qualifications for the position. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications in order to be eligible for hire. Candidates who pass application screening will receive an email notification with next steps in the recruitment process.
