Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage or Assistant Food and Beverage Manager
General Purpose:
Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.
Essential Duties:
- Provides warm and friendly service to ensure a positive dining experience for guests.
- Checks identification for all guests under 30.
- Stocks bar, mix and serve alcoholic beverages, monitor pour control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.
- Collaborate with department leaders in creating seasonal cocktails and developing menu offerings.
- Maintain inventory control by consistently monitoring all bar supplies and beverage products. Communicate supply needs to management in a timely manner.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable liquor laws and adheres to standard operating procedures provided by management.
- Communicate guest requests and concerns to the management.
- Performs opening and closing duties including inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
- Be accountable for all transactions utilizing Point of Sale System.
- Review banquet schedules for changes, stay updated on the calendar of events.
- Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
- Occasionally serve meals to guests.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Secures facility at end of day when shift is completed.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) system (Toast, Open Table)
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.
Certificates/Licenses:
Mandatory ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace
- Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes.
